ROH on HDNet 12/21/09

Last week Delirious and Tyler Black won their matches in the Pick 6 Contender Series, Steve Corino made his debut and Erick Stevens was also in action.

Shane Hagadorn is in the ring and brings out Chris Hero accompanied by Sara del Rey. Chris Hero has a grievance he would like to air. His name was not mentioned when Jim Cornette was talking about the 12 greatest wrestlers in Ring of Honor. Claudio Castagnoli comes out to answer Hero. Hero and Claudio banter for a minute which brings out Jim Cornette. Cornette says the rankings are dependent on what ROH decides not on what the wrestlers want and says that everyone will get a chance to prove themselves and says Hero will get a chance to prove himself in a special match in just a few minutes.

Prince Nana is backstage and he is with Joey Ryan and Ernie Osiris. Ryan is in a Hawaiian shirt and says he is going to give the gift of getting rid of Necro Butcher during the holiday season.

Colt Cabana hype video is next. He compares himself to the Chicago Cubs and says it’s time for him to reverse his curse and get the World Title.

Necro Butcher hype video follows Colts. Necro says he has 2 kids and likes to watch Yo Gabba Gabba and Seasame Street and changes a lot of diapers.

Joey Ryan w/Prince Nana & Ernie Osiris vs. Necro Butcher

Joey Ryan ended up throwing powder in Necro’s face at the end of the match and getting DQ’d. Ryan and the Embassy continue the beat down until Erick Stevens comes in for the save.

Winner: Necro Butcher by DQ

Pick 6 Contenders Series Match- Colt Cabana vs. Claudio Castagnoli w/Prince Nana

Claudio won’t shake Colt’s hand at the off-set so when Claudio turns his back Colt rolls him up for a 2-count to get the match started. Cabana ends up winning the match by reversing a Boston Crab into a roll-up for the win.
Winner: Colt Cabana by pinfall (Roll-Up)
